First, we made Valentine’s for our friends
I wanted to do something my kids would be excited to pass out but on a budget and without it taking too much effort. My son loves Hot Wheels, my daughter loves applesauce. Links below:

- 4×6 flat clear bags for Hot Wheels
- Etsy template for applesauce tags
- Applesauce (tip: get a strawberry applesauce for a pink pouch to match your tags!)
- Don’t forget a sweet treat for your teachers!
You may also need..
- White curling ribbon
- Stapler
- Gold pen for signing your kid’s name
These are fun to make together! Simply add white ribbon and a tag to your applesauce. For the Hot Wheels, fold the 4×6 bags over and staple the tag over.
Tip: Make it collaborative! Let your child pick a car for each bag and lay them all out to prep.

Next, we had some fun at home.
We brought down the playroom craft table to the dining room. I used a tea light candle that we use in our windows at Christmas time, leftover pink scallop plates and napkins from my daughter’s first birthday and heart garland to spruce up a fake plant we already owned.
Kids love small intentional moments. This setup used items we already owned and we served their favorite dinner – chicken nuggets and mac and cheese, of course!
